308. Karuizawa in August 3(2/2)

On August 2, the second day after arriving in Karuizawa, Kujo Miki couldn't get up.

She works as Toru Watanabe's sister at night and is used to getting up late. The early morning at five o'clock is so unfamiliar to her - even if she goes to school, she doesn't get up until eight o'clock.

Watanabe Toru called her, and she sat up with her eyes closed. After a while, she lay back down again.

"Not getting up?" Qingye Rin hugged her elbows with both hands, "I thought she could last at least one day. I overestimated her."

"You go and taunt her, and she will definitely get up."

"Do you want me to go?" Qingye Rin smiled and looked at Watanabe Toru.

"We're just buying bread together. It doesn't matter if we don't go."

"Just went to Ochanomizu for a day?"

"Run away?" Toru Watanabe said.

"Ride a bicycle." Kiyono Rin rejected without hesitation.

Karuizawa in the early morning was shrouded in mist, and it was actually a bit cold.

She was wearing a long-sleeved white shirt, the French style, with beautiful folds on the chest, and white cuffs tied around her wrists without a trace of fat.

The choice of cufflinks is also discerning.

The lower body is worn with a light blue long skirt, and a light green ribbon is tied with a bow on the small waist. The ribbon naturally hangs down on the left side.

She is dressed exquisitely and casually, which makes her look noble and natural and fresh at the same time.

Watanabe Toru looked at it several times.

"Does it look good?" Qingye Rin grabbed the sleeves of her shirt, twisted her slender waist, and turned the hem of her skirt slightly.

"It's like Karuizawa where the fog has just dispersed," Toru Watanabe said.

"have you seen?"

"I have never seen it, but when everyone heard it, they thought it must be very beautiful."

"Based on your level of love talk, I can only give you 8 points for this sentence."

"I still read too few books." Toru Watanabe said, "Let's go, I'll run, you ride the bike."

"There's a place I want to go to on the way."

"We are going to buy bread, Lord Kiyonogami."

"Just opposite the bakery, Karuizawa Bookstore."

"Together."

Toru Watanabe jogged in front, and Rin Kiyono followed slowly on a bicycle.

The bakery called "Truffle BAKERY" that the ladies named is very far away from the villa area, and it looks a bit out of the way.

In the mist, you can only see the warm bright yellow light, and you can already smell the aroma of freshly baked bread.

"There are quite a lot of people," Toru Watanabe said.

"You wait in line, I'll go to the bookstore first?" Qingye Rin parked his bicycle in front of the store.

"Can't."

The two lined up together.

Amidst the strong aroma of truffles and cream wafting from the store, Rin Kiyono introduced life in Karuizawa to Toru Watanabe.

Sunday mass in the Catholic church, the Stone Church where weddings are held, and the town of Elm Street often has violinists or guitarists performing outdoors...

When it was their turn, they bought popular items such as truffle bread and chocolate croissant bread, etc., and packed them in newspaper-like bags.

When Qingye Rin was holding the bread, the clerks and customers in the store looked at her several times.

She looks like an aristocratic lady who came out of the Middle Ages.

"Go to the bookstore." After leaving the store, Qingye Rin said.

"Go to Shuishui Bookstore." Toru Watanabe nodded in agreement.

For those who like reading, visiting a bookstore is really a wonderful thing.

During the two hours that Toru Watanabe went to Atami, he wanted to go shopping in a bookstore.

Karuizawa Bookstore, a bookstore owned by Tsutaya, is right next to the Truffle Bakery, just across the street.

This bookstore is small and provides coffee and breakfast. Many customers who are going to buy bread and have bought bread linger in it.

The variety of books is quite comprehensive, but most of them are books and magazines related to Karuizawa, which makes people can't help but pick them up and read them.

In addition to books, there are also many folk arts and porcelain exhibitions.

"Most of the books are from local writers, and the porcelain handicrafts are also the work of local craftsmen. Many elements are from Nagano Prefecture." Rin Kiyono explained softly while holding a woven basket.

"It's interesting, but it doesn't look good." Toru Watanabe replied in a low voice.

"I like natural things."

"Maybe it's a handicraft."

"This possibility cannot be ruled out."

The two stood side by side in front of a cabinet, communicating in low voices.

Watanabe Toru picked up the book beside the basket, opened it, and introduced the customs and customs of Nagano Prefecture.

“It’s quite interesting to put books and things together,” he said.

Kiyono Rin put the bread directly into the basket.

"Buy it?" Watanabe Toru asked.

"I bought it." Qingye Rin nodded.

The two picked a few more books. Watanabe Toru remembered what he promised Xiaolian last night, so he bought some photography works of Karuizawa's scenic spots.

"This." Toru Watanabe picked up a book, "The character your mother talked about last night."

On the cover of the book, there is Emperor Akihito and his queen.

The two silver-haired people stood side by side and looked at the camera with a smile.

"The two of them met here." Qingye Rin turned over a page and pointed at the picture and said, "Here, there is also this tennis court."

Watanabe Toru put the book back and said with a low smile:

"When I turned 30, the place was filled with magazines and books full of my photos. The slogan of Karuizawa was also changed to 'Karuizawa, a resort where Toru Watanabe visited when he was seventeen and has been vacationing every summer since.

'."

Qingye Rin laughed happily twice.

"Do not believe?"

"Then, who is standing next to you?"

"R-san, we are here to buy books."

"I'm here to buy bread."

"You are always right, Amen."

"Amen is Christianity."

"What about Catholicism?"

"Catholicism is also amen."

"You fool me?"

"No, I'm just bullying you for your lack of knowledge."

On the way back, the fog dissipated.

The moist wind, mixed with the smell of vegetation, passed by;

The quaint villa is nestled in the trees on both sides, the sound of birds becomes clearer, and the morning light shines through the leaves and branches.

The tree-lined path leading to the villa is quiet and poetic.

The two turned into the path and when they saw the villa, Xiaolian was squatting in front of a ferngrass, with beautiful sunlight shining on it.

"Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding."

"Archer! Sister Lin!" She got up and ran over.

Kiyono Rin got off the bicycle: "Xiaolian, what was Tokyo called before?"

Xiaolian said excitedly: "We know, we know! It's Edo!"

"In which year did Edo change its name to Tokyo?"

Xiaolian was stunned for a moment: "A long time ago, 1621?"

"It was September 1868." Qingye Rin handed her the basket in the carriage frame, "If you answered wrongly, you will be punished by taking the bread back to the house."
