Chapter 133: Making up stories

"Okay." Gu Xiaoyou followed the waiter to the second floor.

"There are all the scripts right here." The waiter pointed to Gu Xiaoyou's left hand side.

Gu Xiaoyou raised his eyes and said, "Thank you, I can just look at it myself."

"Okay, if you need anything, just call the waiter." The waiter said, turned around and retreated.

Gu Xiaoyou strolled to the storybook area, picked up one from the bookshelf and flipped through it. After looking at it for a few times, he put it back. He took out a few more books and flipped through them. He found that the contents were all similar, and they were not for scholars and ladies.

The story is the story of a young master and his maid. It is nothing new and the writing is a bit obscure and difficult to read.

"This is too boring. It's not as good as the story I made up." Gu Xiaoyou said to himself.

Mu Wuchen went upstairs to look for Gu Xiaoyou. He happened to hear Gu Xiaoyou talking and said playfully: "Can you make up stories?"

"Yes." Gu Xiaoyou replied casually: "Have you and Liang'er finished selecting books?"

"Yeah." Mu Wuchen responded lightly.

"Then let's go." Gu Xiaoyou took the medical skills she picked and returned downstairs with Mu Wuchen.

"Check out." Gu Xiaoyou put the medical book on the counter and pointed at the book held in Liang'er's arms: "Let's settle the bill together."

"This young master's book has been settled." The shopkeeper politely replied, "Let me do the math for you."

"Oh, okay." Gu Xiaoyou was stunned for a moment. Thinking that it might be Mu Wuchen who settled the bill, she opened her purse and prepared to take the money.

Mu Wuchen directly put a piece of silver on the counter: "Settling the accounts."

Gu Xiaoyou raised her eyebrows. She didn't expect to enjoy the feeling of a woman shopping and a man checking out in ancient times. She felt really happy.

The store owner quickly settled the account and gave the broken silver to Mu Wuchen: "Please keep it, sir."

Mu Wuchen didn't even raise his eyelids, and raised his chin: "Give it to her."

"Okay." The storekeeper responded, packed up the medical books, and handed them to Gu Xiaoyou along with the broken silver.

"Ah, oh." Gu Xiaoyou caught it with a confused look.

Why does she feel like she is going to the vegetable market with her parents, and all the change she gets to buy vegetables is given to her like this.

It wasn't until the three of them sat on the carriage again that Gu Xiaoyou came back to his senses.

She shrugged and put away the broken silver. After all, change is money.

Mu Wuchen looked at Gu Xiaoyou's movements and asked with interest: "Can you really make up stories?"

"Well, I'm well-read, so I can make up a story." Gu Xiaoyou raised her chin and said with an arrogant expression.

Having read countless romance novels, there was no plot that Gu Xiaoyou was not familiar with.

"Oh, let's hear some stories." Mu Wuchen's eyes flashed with interest.

"Then let me tell you a love story."

Gu Xiaoyou talked about a fanfic she wrote after watching an idol drama before. Although she didn't remember many details, she still remembered the general plot.

Mu Wuchen had no expression after listening, but Liang'er clapped her hands excitedly: "Aunt Gu, you are so awesome, this story is great."

"Thank you Liang'er." Gu Xiaoyou pinched Liang'er's little face, looked at Mu Wuchen quite proudly, raised an eyebrow and said, "What did you say?"

"...very novel." Mu Wuchen commented, obviously not interested in bloody love stories.

"Humph, in addition to love stories, I also have martial arts stories."

Gu Xiaoyou simply talked about a martial arts story written by her middle school classmate. I'm sorry, classmate, let her learn from it.

Sure enough, Mu Wuchen raised his eyebrows as he listened to the martial arts story, looking interested.

"How about this story?" Gu Xiaoyou told a short paragraph and asked impatiently.

Mu Wuchen nodded and asked with interest: "Interesting, what's the follow-up?"

"Hey, I know what will happen next, let's hear the explanation next time." Gu Xiaoyou said playfully.

The corner of Mu Wuchen's mouth twitched, and Liang'er beside him clapped his hands and said, "Aunt Gu seems to be a storyteller, it's so interesting."

"Mr. Storyteller..." Gu Xiaoyou muttered thoughtfully.

Seeing that she was lost in thought, Mu Wuchen made a silent gesture towards Liang'er who still wanted to speak. Liang'er nodded obediently and covered her mouth with her little hand.

The carriage suddenly fell into silence. After an unknown period of time, Gu Xiaoyou patted his thigh and said happily: "I have an idea again."

"What's the idea?" Mu Wuchen asked expectantly. Gu Xiaoyou's ideas always brought him novelty.

"I can open a book club, ask a few storytellers to help me revise the stories, and then ask a few readers to help me copy and polish the writing, and the finished books can be sold in the book club." Gu Xiaoyou said with excitement: "It's just right.

There are still a few desks left, which can help some scholars who have difficulties in life."

"It's a good idea." Mu Wuchen's eyes softened a little.

I didn't expect that besides the messy stories in her mind, she also had such a big heart.

"Hey, I just don't know where to find the storyteller, so I can't look for him in a restaurant, right?" Gu Xiaoyou frowned. She was still not familiar enough with ancient life. She should go out more often besides doing business.

"I can recommend a few storytellers to you." Mu Wuchen said.

"Okay, when my story becomes a book, I'll treat you to read it for free." Gu Xiaoyou said boldly, patting Mu Wuchen's shoulder carelessly.

Mu Wuchen's face darkened: "How can you be so indifferent, men and women are not intimate, have you forgotten?"

"I was happy for a moment, but I won't be happy anymore." Gu Xiaoyou said nonchalantly.

How could I forget that this guy is an old-fashioned guy?

Mu Wuchen still had a straight face and stared at Gu Xiaoyou with an unhappy expression.

Gu Xiaoyou was afraid that he would mention learning the rules again, so he quickly said: "Um, I haven't thought of a name for my book club yet. You are the most knowledgeable person I know. Please help me choose a name."

Mu Wuchen's eyes flashed slightly, and the compliment to Gu Xiaoyou was very helpful. He thought for a while and said, "How about calling it Jiumen Book Club?"

"Jiumen Book Club..." Gu Xiaoyou repeated, nodding happily: "It sounds very good, does it have any special meaning?"

"Nine gates refer to the nine gates of the capital." Mu Wuchen explained simply.

"So that's what it means. Does Nine Gate Book Club mean that it can attract people from nine gates?" Gu Xiaoyou's eyes lit up. This name is really simple and easy to remember, and the meaning is quite good.

Gu Xiaoyou recited it several times in his mind, and the more he recited it, the easier it became. He said with a smile: "Thank you, I like it very much."

Mu Wuchen curled his lips and smiled: "Well, I will send someone to send the storyteller there tomorrow."

"Well, you have the best sense of finding people. I'm really looking forward to meeting Mr. Storyteller tomorrow." Gu Xiaoyou said sincerely.
