Chapter 19(1/2)
Wen Yu carried Ji Anning all the way to the family building across the road from the school. He insisted on going upstairs and sent it to Ji Anning's doorstep.
"Let's just put it here." Ji Anning said, "Go back early."
Wen Yu refused: "It's all here, I'll put it in the house for you."
Ji Anning was silent for a moment, lowered her eyes, and said softly: "My grandma is at home, and her mind is not very convenient."
Wen Yu remembered what the report said that Ji Anning's grandmother was Alzheimer's. He stopped insisting and happily placed the box for her on the ground at the door: "Okay, then I'll leave."
"Wait." Ji Anning called him. She took out a plastic wallet with cracks on the corners: "How much does it cost for lunch? I'll give it to you."
Wen Yu looked at her inferior street stall wallet, rolled his eyes, stretched his arms, pressed the door, and approached Ji Anning.
Ji Anning instinctively leaned back and pressed against the door panel tightly.
"Say it right first." Wen Yu looked down at her.
"I won't harass you with money, and don't bother me with these small money for eating and drinking water." He sneered, "Even if you are just friends, you still want you to pay your wallet with me. Do I want it?"
Wen Yu's rich body breath after exercise is actually not bad, but it just makes Ji Anning feel... unable to breathe.
Ji Anning held his breath and stared at Wen Yu's eyes.
The two people looked at each other and could hear breathing in the corridor.
After a stalemate in silence for a moment, Ji Anning put away his wallet.
This stubborn and pretentious girl was unexpectedly gentle several times today, and Wen Yu was very satisfied.
"Good rest." He smiled and showed his white teeth, "See you tomorrow."
Ji Anning entered the house with a microwave oven and brought it to the door with her feet.
I came back early today. My grandma was not asleep yet and was still watching TV happily. I had accumulated a day and there was a faint smell of odor in the house.
Ji Anning put down the box, flushed the toilet first, and then opened the window to ventilate it. However, the breath that belonged to Wen Yu at the end of his nose was long gone by the stinky smell of the room.
Ji Anning coaxed her grandmother to take a shower, served her to lie down on the bed, and threw the changed clothes into the washing machine.
When they moved in, the house had some simple furniture, a double bed, a wardrobe that was not big but sufficient, and a sofa with a seat that had collapsed.
The appliances only have an old big-butt TV and an old washing machine that makes it very noisy when it turns. It is said that they were all left by the former homeowner. The other party was left as garbage, which made Ji Anning convenient.
Now that I have bought a microwave oven, I have three major appliances at home.
She also took a shower and dried her hair while reading a book. When the washing machine stopped and hung up her clothes, her hair was almost dry. She also got into the bed.
Grandma was already asleep, her breathing was sometimes heavy and sometimes light, and sometimes she would pause for several seconds, which made Ji Anning frightened.
Maybe because she was taking a shower before going to bed, she couldn't sleep a little and lay on the bed looking at the ceiling.
The house is a little simple to renovate, but it is old. The plaster threads in some places are broken, and it looks like it is about to fall off the ceiling at any time.
Gradually, I became sleepy and became confused.
In a trance, I seemed to see a very bright light. The people on the ring were strong and each punch was full of strength. The sound of the hit was slow and echoed, lingering in my ears.
He took off his head guard, shook his head, and shook off a piece of crystal beads of sweat.
He suddenly turned his head and smiled badly, which was Wen Yu's face.
The face suddenly approached her, pressing her arm against the door, pushing her into a small space between his arms.
His breath lingers clearly at the end of his nose, and the corners of his sneering lips enlarge in her eyes.
She felt her throat dry.
The picture suddenly switched again, with a cold single cell and a hard bed.
During the last days of waiting for the execution, he would occasionally chant her name late at night.
Ji Anning didn't feel dirty or disgusting. She even floated over and leaned over to kiss his lips, but couldn't touch it.
I could only cover my face and sobbed.
When she was woken up by her grandmother in the morning, she opened her eyes in a daze, and the morning light entering through the window felt unrealistic. I don’t know which life is a dream.
After finishing my work at noon, I ran back to the cafeteria, holding the meal card in my hand and before I could reach the meal-fill window, I suddenly got caught.
Ji Anning turned her head and said that the person who caught her wrist was nothing but Wen Yu.
"I've been waiting for you for a long time," he was a little impatient, "Hurry up."
After saying that, he pulled Ji Anning and left.
"Hey!" Ji Anning couldn't get rid of it after a few struggles, "What are you doing?"
"What are you doing? Eat." Wen Yu said dissatisfied. It is said that men have a bad temper when they are not full. Wen Yu now has a deep understanding.
While speaking, Wen Yu pulled Ji Anning to a four-person table. Chen Hao had just sat down with a tray and was placing dishes. He looked up and saw Ji Anning and shouted, "Oh, you're here!" He turned around and ran away again.
On the other hand, Sun Kai also came over with a full tray of dishes, and while placing dishes on the table, he muttered: "I'm starving to death, I'm going to starve to death!"
Ji Anning was pressed down by Wen Yu, and Chen Hao had already cooked rice again and came back - he asked his aunt to take an empty basin and fill a basin of rice and four empty bowls.
Ji Anning was dumbfounded.
"Eat! Eat!"
"It's almost dead!"
The two boys quickly put a bowl of rice for Ji Anning and stuffed it into her hand. The table of dishes was filled with food, and the aroma of the food was drilled into their nostrils. Ji Anning's stomach was uncontrollably "gurgling".
She looked up at Wen Yu sitting opposite him.
Wen Yu had already eaten it and was looking up at her. When he saw that she didn't move her chopsticks, he picked up a piece of ribs and put them in her bowl: "Eat."
Ji Anning didn't say anything, lowered her head and bit the ribs. The thick soup and crispy meat were so delicious that it tasted in her mouth.
Ji Anning occasionally makes a meal of pork ribs or braised pork at home, and the meat is really too expensive now.
"Why are you having dinner so late today?" Ji Anning asked a little uneasy.
"Waiting for you." Chen Hao said vaguely, "You are the only girl in our fighting club, the society flower! Brother Wen said he had to take care of you and would take you to dinner together in the future."
Ji Anning looked at Wen Yu, who was lowering his head to cook the rice, and he looked very hungry. Ji Anning had to deliver takeout first after class. When she finished her work, she came to the cafeteria and most of the classmates had finished eating.
All of these young men are like wolves, wishing they could eat a cow and let them wait for her to come before eating. How could they not be hungry?
Ji Anning lowered his head and snatched the rice silently, chewed it down, and said to Wen Yu, "Don't wait for me in the future. It's very late when I finish my work, and sometimes I go home to eat, and I don't eat it with school every day."
Wen Yu had hunger at noon this day, and knew that it was not realistic to want to have lunch with Ji Anning every day. It was even more unrealistic to ask her to stop taking out and eat with them on time. This girl looked weak but was stubborn in her bones.
Wen Yu raised his eyes and said, "Okay." After that, he shouted, "Chen Hao!"
Chen Hao looked up.
Wen Yu pressed the chopsticks on the bowl, stretched out his hand, picked up the meal card that Ji Anning placed casually on the corner of the table and stuffed it to Chen Hao: "Go, add the subsidy for our club's meal expenses."
When will the club have a meal fee subsidy?
Chen Hao has been following Wen Yu for so long and understands Wen Yu’s mind. Seeing Ji Anning reaching out to grab the meal card back, he swayed his arm and avoided her.
"Okay! Now!" He immediately got up and ran to the recharge window, and turned around and shouted, "Leave me a few more ribs!"
Ji Anning failed to grab his meal card and glanced at Wen Yu.
Wen Yu's cheeks were bulging. He looked at her and saw that he stopped chopsticks and picked up a large piece of braised chicken nuggets for her: "Eat more, you're too thin, and you don't have the strength to practice fighting."
Ji Anning lowered her eyes, her eyes faintly.
In his previous life, Wen Yu sent flowers, bags, cosmetics, perfumes and jewelry. If she didn't accept it, he bought it in different ways, firmly believing that there would always be something that could impress her. He also drove his big Hummer to every place where she worked.
In this life, has he promised not to use a financial offensive against her, and instead took care of her food, drink, housing and transportation?
Ji Anning lowered her head and stomped her food. For some reason, she felt that it was a kind of progress for Wen Yu, a rich child who believed that money could buy everything.
Wen Yu stopped chopsticks and raised his eyebrows: "Why are you laughing at?"
Ji Anning raised his eyes: "I laughed at you for eating."
The boys are so edible. A large bowl of rice disappeared in a short while. Wen Yu and Sun Kai have already finished their second bowl.
In a few minutes, Chen Hao ran back and returned the card to Ji Anning with a smile: "Junior sister, I'll save the food supply to you."
Ji Anning took it politely and thanked him.
Chen Hao winked at Wen Yu.
A large bowl of rice was really killed under the witness of Ji Anning.
Ji Anning ate his fill, wiped his mouth, stood up and said, "Then I'll leave first..."
Looking at Wen Yu, she probably had a short mouth. She paused and told him: "The sun is good at noon, so I will take my grandma downstairs to bask in the sun."
It seems that since yesterday, Ji Anning has a vague tenderness and patience towards him.
A smile broke out in Wen Yu's eyes and he curled the corners of his mouth: "Go."
Ji Anning nodded and left.
When her figure disappeared, Wen Yu turned around and asked Chen Hao: "How much did you pay for her?"
Chen Hao said: "One thousand."
To be continued...
