Chapter 1 Sewing the Corpse

My name is Shi Xiao, a real farmer, but I don’t rely on farming to make a living.

The year my grandfather left, I was only sixteen years old. I was completely lonely and had no support in the village. My parents went out to work in their early years, and both disappeared, leaving me at home.

My grandfather is well-known in a village of all kinds. He was a very respected senior in his lifetime. After he left, the villagers all sent me money, food or asked me to eat at their house. Although I was very touched, I refused them all. Although I was not educated, I could live with the skills left by my grandfather.

Speaking of this craft, others may feel a bit weird when they hear it, but it really exists. Especially in our rural areas, many people die abnormally every year - such as being hacked to death by revenge, hit and killed in a car accident, etc. They rely on me to repair their broken corpses together, and then buried them in a relatively intact.

Others call me Ercoder, who means sewing corpse maker, but it just makes it more obscure and nice.

According to my grandfather during his lifetime, the craft of corpse sewing craftsman is not only too bloody and terrifying, but also has many sensational tricks. Although I have never seen any of them, I still firmly remember the three taboos of corpse sewing craftsman that my grandfather told me:

First, one should not sew a corpse or two lives, that is, a dead pregnant woman; second, two should not sew the two people together, that is, two different people should not sew together; third, babies should not be sewed.

In the past few years, I have never dared to break the three taboos that my grandfather told me.

But I never expected that my little boy would cheat my family, which led to me never being able to live an ordinary life again.

It was a dark and windy night. It was just the time when autumn was raging. I turned on the air conditioner in my small bungalow and wore a vest, but I still couldn't hide the heat in my heart. I always felt something was going to happen.

Just when I was about to fall asleep, the phone next to the pillow rang, which instantly woke me up. I picked up the phone impatiently and saw that it was my call from Li En. I temporarily suppressed my anger and answered.

"What happened in the middle of the night? I was shocked and couldn't tell you something tomorrow?" I was a little impatient.

Li En grew up with me since childhood. We are neighbors and his parents have always taken good care of me. A few years ago, because the harvest in the village was in a sluggish way, his parents took the money to do business in the city, but they didn't expect to make a fortune.

"Xiaoxuan is gone!" Li En's voice was crying.

I was confused in an instant, and the cold sweat fell down my neck. Zhang Zixuan? Isn’t that Li En’s fiancée? What happened?

Li En told me intermittently that Zhang Zixuan went out to party with his friends tonight and never returned. Li En didn't take it seriously either, but Zhang Zixuan usually went home before 10:30. It was past 11:00, and Li En was a little worried that something had happened to Zhang Zixuan.

Unexpectedly, after a while, Zhang Zixuan called on her cell phone. Li En answered it. Indeed, the doctor in the hospital said that Zhang Zixuan was hit by a car and the situation was not optimistic, so he asked Li En to go to the hospital quickly.

When Li En rushed to the hospital in a panic, Zhang Zixuan could no longer save her.

I sighed and comforted Li En who was crying on the other end of the phone. He and Zhang Zixuan had a good relationship. Both of them were engaged and ready to get married. I told him that he would not be resurrected, so I quickly found out the murderer and avenged Zixuan.

Finally, Li En told me that Zhang Zixuan's body had been hit by a car and was broken. He couldn't bear to cremate Zhang Zixuan, hoping that I could sew Zhang Zixuan's body and bury it on the edge of his ancestral tomb.

I understood Li En's mood very well and asked him to send the body over tomorrow. Li En asked me how much it cost, and I said, "Isn't this a slap in the face if you give me money?"

Li En didn't say anything, sobbed and hung up the phone. My heart was also cold. How could such a lively and cute girl suffer such a disaster?

Early the next morning, Li En knocked on my door. He drove a van and pulled me the body of Zhang Zixuan in the glass refrigerated coffin.

I patted Li En's shoulder and looked at Zhang Zixuan inside through the glass, and couldn't help but take a breath of air conditioning.

To be honest, I have seen many dead bodies, but this is the first time I have seen such a miserable body as Zhang Zixuan. There is nowhere on the right side of Zhang Zixuan's head, revealing scarlet flesh and blood mixed with snow-white *. Moreover, Zhang Zixuan's head is only connected to some flesh and blood, and you can also see the tiny shreds of flesh connected to the root of the root.

What's even more terrifying is that Zhang Zixuan's body, arms and legs are all like puppets, with only a little skin connected to the middle body. Zhang Zixuan's originally snow-white skin has now turned blue and purple.

Maybe it was because Zhang Zixuan was considered an acquaintance, and I felt a little sad and unspeakable. This was the first time I was sewing the body of a serious acquaintance.

Li En next to him glanced at Zhang Zixuan in the glass coffin. He couldn't even hold him in the crying. He knelt on the ground with the coffin in his arms, and cried for half an hour. I finally pulled Li En up and told him not to cry first, and helped me collect Zhang Zixuan's body in the glass coffin on my workbench.

Originally, Li En was going to stay here to see me sew Zhang Zixuan's body, but I drove Li En away on the grounds that I was afraid that he would be emotionally excited and asked him to go back and have a good rest. Moreover, my craft of sewing corpses cannot be watched by others, otherwise the soul inside would not be sewn into the corpse, but would become a lonely ghost.

I picked up the long black iron needle I usually used to sew corpses, tied a flesh-colored silk thread, and began to sew Zhang Zixuan's corpse.

But I still had a hard time facing the pile of rotten meat in front of me. Where should I start? But when I thought about it, I felt a little strange. How fast does this need to hit the car to make it like this?

I remember when I was a kid, I took a bus to the national highway, and a man riding an electric bike was hit by a car with a speed of 70 or 80. The body was not so ragged.

But I didn't think about it anymore. I found a few pieces of clean pig skin, cleaned Zhang Zixuan's rotten meat bit by bit, and filled it with the pig skin that had been worn out in the broken place.

After five hours of sewing the corpse, I roughly sewed Zhang Zixuan's body. I had been holding it in for a long time and quickly went to the bathroom to vomit. This was really unbearable. Even though I had seen so many broken corpses, I still couldn't stand it.

The glass coffin had been pulled away by Li En, so I could only put Zhang Zixuan on my workbench first, turn on the air conditioner very low, and try to ensure that the body does not deteriorate. In the evening, I called Li En and asked him to come to retrieve Zhang Zixuan's body tomorrow. Li En was grateful to me, so I almost knelt down there and thanked me. I scolded him whether you still recognize me as a brother. He said it was necessary, a brother for life.

The temperature inside the room was very low, so I wrapped the quilt tightly before I fell asleep peacefully.

But I had a very strange dream: in the dream, I walked on the small path in the fields, and then came to a green field with a few scarecrows inside.

Just as I was enjoying the beautiful scenery, the sky suddenly became cloudy. A scarecrow in front of me was suddenly torn apart from it bit by bit, and a woman with disheveled hair and full of hair came out. The woman was holding a white linen mourning uniform in her hand and was approaching me step by step.

I was frightened and turned around and wanted to run away, but found that I couldn't move at all. Just when I was anxious, a loud baby cry suddenly came from my arms. I looked down and almost scared to death.

I don't know when a baby appeared in my arms. The whole skin of the baby was bluish and purple, and there were traces of stitching with a line on his head, which looked extremely cunning. I could clearly see the baby's open mouth when he was crying, and his sharp teeth were covered with.
