Chapter 1329 A cold sense of humor

Early this morning, an armored floating car landed in the castle apron. Victor von Dum, the regent of Latovina and ruler of the Balkans, walked down the ramp door surrounded by the Imperial Guards and the First Secret Regiment. Next to the spacious apron, groups of First Secret Regiment soldiers stood in the moonlight, with Void combat uniforms and laser rifles and other standard equipment in neatly equipped. As a symbol of trust, the flag of the ancient Roman army was presented to him by the emperor, and the golden eagle sculpture stood on the cane, together with the dark green cloak of the Vladimir family and the golden ribbon formed the rule law from the emperor's authority. Victor von Dum walked to the front of the array and extended the golden eagle flag to the leading officer.

The warm ocean wind is blocked by the mountains, and the dry cold air bulges.

The giant castle is like a giant in the shadow under the thin moonlight. The light from the gorgeous rose window slightly dispels the cold. The glimmer reflected by the satellites illuminates a shrub planted beside the castle. The castle is still brightly lit, and the air defense equipment in the surrounding areas of Latovia is running for 24 hours. About three minutes later, a squadron took off vertically from the tarmac of the Royal Castle. The air currents raised by the vector engines swept across the entire Royal Castle Castle Square like a tornado. The war engine battle group that was dozens of meters high stood around the castle. These war monsters cast silent figures and looked down at everything like Titan giants.

The commander of the Imperial Guard, Constantine, was waiting for the regent next to the apron.

It was not until the flight squadron took off and there were only a long list of light spots left in the sky that he walked up to stand side by side with the Regent. In the cellar where the Vladimir family had dug, the shield generator set was still buzzing under the guards of the First Secret Regiment. This generator set was directly under the protection of the Imperial Guards, and everything was to enable the castle to withstand nuclear strikes and air strikes. Especially when NATO could launch air strikes on the entire territory at any time, Latovignan's military force was elite, but in a scarce number, the importance of ensuring the elite's live power was mentioned to the highest.

However, these have nothing to do with what Victor von Dum has to do. He only needs to make sure that the commander of the Imperial Guard has not missed any military forces and personnel that must be monitored, ensure that all power changes can be completed smoothly, and the possible casualties will be minimized. "All important figures and important facilities have been protected." Constantine whispered. Compared with the Knight's brass-colored power armor, the Imperial Guard's power armor is like pure gold, with exquisite reliefs depicting astrological signs, beasts, birds of prey and thunder, and perfectly cut gems that are even more dazzling in the moonlight. "No one will be injured, nor will anyone escape."

"I hope so. This shouldn't be going on now, he was too anxious." Vidoc von Dum sighed unobtrusively. "We cannot explain to him that political situations need stability, production requires time, and education needs to be progressive. He knows how he might not know. I admit the need to deconstruct bureaucracy, and he also hates the drawbacks brought by the military government, but we must meet his requirements. Without the army, we cannot control this land, and nationalist armed forces will continue to emerge like cockroaches."

"The predators are still watching us. We cannot stop. Stop means destruction." Constantine's face, which was covered by the helmet, had no expression on her face, just like the metal mask on her skin. "The virtue of the law is the beautiful vision he promised to these people, but the value of virtue is after survival. If humans can still have a future, then any crime committed for survival can be forgiven. We will be despised because we have done what others are unwilling to do to allow them to survive. I talked to Victoria Hand, and by the time she ended her studies in Kamataj, we should be able to understand what kind of enemies we really have to face."

Victor von Dum recalled his conversation with the emperor in the hut. Before the emperor was born, he was the most knowledgeable and wise man in the entire Kamataj except the Supreme Master, but as proud as he had to let go of his self-supporting in front of the emperor's grand vision and careful plan, because the future revealed to him by the emperor is not important at all. Even if the Regent's attachment to this land is strong, this is just a starting point.

A social experiment, a factory used to produce the materials needed by the emperor to launch a war. The factory does not need humanistic feelings, but only requires efficiency, no efficiency, no output, and no weapons to defend against foreign enemies. The emperor looked at this land with a cold eye and estimated input and output. Things that are worthless will be abandoned and valuable will be left behind. Victor von Dum had to admit that this is the correct way of doing things.

"In this land, blood flows meaninglessly."

The Regent narrowed his eyes and looked at the war engine battle group in the distance.

Latovian civilians liked these war engines very much. Every day, many people took photos with the biggest guys outside the blockade line. Even if the situation did not allow, they would take pictures of single-person mechas patrolling the road. These war engines gave them a sense of security in the most intuitive way. A bright light of fire hovered high at altitude, and the air defense system did not lock it. It was the emperor's messenger. The Regent had met Phoenix several times. Sometimes the secret of the task given to it by the Emperor was still unaware of it until the Regent could not fully know. Perhaps Constantine knew it, but Victor von Doum did not intend to ask, but he still collected a collection of poems written by Phoenix and planned to put it in the museum for free printing.

"Everything will have to be liquidated after the plan is completed, and the period of military rule will surely become the past. The Imperial Guard will be the caregiver of the future, only you have the ability to maintain his vision, otherwise how could he teach you so many skills that are valuable only in peacetime. This is the embodiment of humanistic thinking and his true desire."

Victor von Dum glanced at him, not sure whether Constantine's response was a joke. After a while, he confirmed that the commander of the Imperial Guard was serious, and that he believed that seaweed agriculture could feed a large group of people, so he planned to conduct in-depth research as an extracurricular interest. Constantine also told Victor that in fact he raised a tropical fish in the Obsidian Tower of the Immortal City as a prerequisite for the next research topic, and the monarch encouraged him to do so. Sometimes Victor von Dum had to suspect that these actions of the Imperial Guard were actually the result of the emperor's cold sense of humor. He was sure that raising tropical fish was definitely not for some topic, but for Constantine to have more humanity.

"I will keep something beautiful." The Regent bent his lips, and the tacit understanding of the collaborator could not help but respond. "He needs someone to remind him why he fights. For example, Monet, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Leonardo... Don't worry, you don't need your help. What is he doing now?"
