Chapter 167 The Disappearing Knight

The private topics between mature women are often unexpected fish that men do not expect, especially among acquaintances. Vanessa is like this. After confirming that Salomon does not have some unspeakable relationship with Athena, she let go and talk about her own affairs, including when she met a prince in a white suit and a wide tie at the art exhibition, and Salomon looked embarrassed when she heard it. After talking about her own experience, Vanessa turned the topic to Athena.

"Where is the man who usually comes with you?" she asked. "I haven't seen him for a long time. Arthur, right? If I remember the name correctly."

The secret mage's eyes suddenly became sharp. He contacted what Athena said before, as well as the true identity and legend of the Supreme Master. He understood that the Supreme Master once again showed his traditional skills in Camelo, and went to the art exhibition with Athena. It seems that the Venerable evolved into a dead house that competed for snacks with him. It was only in the past few years that the Supreme Master had once been a tasteful person. No wonder Athena came to him so quickly when he was in the British Museum. It turned out that she had known that Salomon would go to the British Museum to find a ring.

Perhaps as soon as he set out, the Venerable informed Athena that the Supreme Master had a much more connection with these old gods than he had imagined.

After Athena noticed Salomon's eyes, she immediately knew that Salomon had already sorted out the relationship. She rolled her eyes quietly, gently diverted Vanessa's attention, and asked about Vanessa's plans afterwards. However, Salomon was not interested in listening. He walked aside and looked for the food he liked at the buffet table.

Perhaps because of the course relationship Athena set for him, or because of the Eton Art course, all the reasons made Salomon unable to appreciate most abstract oil paintings, or in other words, he did not like such overly subjective works of art, which made him lose interest in Vanessa.

The oil paintings he could appreciate were all classical, and his favorite oil painting was Lavinia Fontana's paintings about Athena. Although Athena himself always said that the paintings were not like her, the Baroque oil painting was bought at a high price and collected, leaving only fakes for display. As for Athena's favorite paintings, it was painted by Rembrandt. The portrait of a woman in armor was deeply loved by Athena himself.

"You shouldn't be here alone, nor should you eat sandwiches in vain. This is an art exchange exhibition." After a while, when Salomon was about to eat the second slice of Spanish ham, his hand was caught. Then, a force that he could not resist pulled him farther and farther away from Spanish ham.

Athena had finished her conversation at this time, and she finally recalled that she was not here to show the art exhibition alone. "I have discussed it with Vanessa," she said. "I will fund her to open a gallery in New York, but her paintings have not been shipped to New York yet, so she has to wait for a while."

"Very good, you have become her investor now." Salomon looked at the buffet nostalgic, sighed and shrugged, "What can I say? I can't appreciate abstract painting, except for Cubism. I think those who fund abstract painters are suckers, and it is meaningless to fund abstract painters like Vanessa. Although the contrast between white paint and white canvas can reflect the sense of leaping, it is meaningless. Such a painter is too unstable, and your investment will only lose money. Maybe I should stick a banana to the wall next time with a piece of tape. After all, whatever the artist does is art, isn't it?"

"This cannot be generalized. Salomon, I am not trying to make money, but I will not make any long speeches here." Athena grabbed Salomon's arm tightly and dragged him to the exhibition area. "I have found some interesting things to do in the long years. Socialism is one of them. I like to watch those stupid princes and nobles talk the most. What they say is indeed funny. Although there are fewer nobles and more merchants now, humans still have not changed, and stupid people still account for the majority."

"You are right. My dear single mother, Minerva, is the majority of idiots, otherwise the land under our feet would not be so populist." Salomon hugged Athena's waist and looked bored at the noisy crowd talking. Then he discovered a familiar figure. "Remember the story of Salem that I told you three hundred years ago?" he asked Athena, "It's those weird and terrifying stories."

"The one related to the Eye Demon?" Athena blinked, "and the beautiful red-haired spy."

"Please don't mention the one behind. I promise that has nothing to do with the female spy. You still remember Natasha for so long." Salomon said, "What I want to say is the excellent investigator who faces the evil god and has not completely fallen into madness. Although the temporary madness has caused him to lose some memory, I don't think it's a big deal. He can even bring his girlfriend to the exhibition. Hello, Colson, I didn't expect you to have a holiday in a few days. Nick Fury is really good to you."

"Hi!" Colson's hairline was about to touch his hairline. He never expected that Salomon would appear in New York and at the art exhibition at the Four Seasons Hotel. In fact, if he was still at work at the moment, he would have known that Salomon would appear in New York.

"You..." He glanced at his female companion, acting a little like he met an acquaintance's cave creature outdoors, "How could you be here?"

"Audrey." Colson's girlfriend glanced at him and shook hands with Salone and Athena with a smile. "I just arrived from Portland yesterday. Are you... Phil right? Are you Colson's friends?"

"I'm not, he is." Athena held the secret wizard's arm, "I heard that my son had experienced many adventures with Colson."

"Wow? Then I have to listen to your agents' stories. Phil is always mysterious." Audrey raised her eyebrows, "But I have to say, you are well maintained and look very young."

"It seems that men have something to say. Ms. Audrey, if you don't mind, I can introduce you to a few talented artists." Athena let go of Salomon's arms, and she stepped forward to hold Audrey's arm. When she passed by the Secret Mage, she stared at him with a stern look. "Let's go back and settle the score with you!" She lowered her voice and said to Salomon, "Including the fact that she called the female spy and the witch, I have a good memory!"

"Really? Thank you very much!" Audrey was a little surprised, because both Colson and her were not very familiar with New York, and came to the art exhibition just to date this suitable place.

"Come with me, you will feel that this trip is worth it." Athena turned her face, as if all the anger she had just disappeared.

Colson and Salomon watched Athena disappear into the depths of the exhibition hall with Audrey.

"I don't know that you have an adoptive mother, and she is so young and beautiful. Does she know your identity?" Colson looked at Salomon, and he asked curiously, "What's the matter with me? Don't say you're just here to say hello."

"I'm here to ask you about Johnny Blaze," said Salomon. "Don't worry about anything else."

"I'm just happy that you have a complete family. As for Ghost Rider, that's the top secret and I can't reveal it casually."

"Stop messing around, I know much more than you. I want to know where he is now, and I'm too lazy to use prophecy to divine his position." Salomon snorted contemptuously, "And his girlfriend Luo Shan--she disappeared just one day after we sent her back. You should have done this?"

"She is very safe now, we have special staff to protect her." Colson's expression was a little awkward. Everyone could hear the subtext under such a scene. Because Roshan didn't need anyone to protect her, Johnny Blaze's enemy would not be an ordinary human, and SHIELD could not stop her.

This behavior is not so much a protection as an attempt to monitor and control Johnny Blaze through Roshan.

"It's so cute." The secret mage suddenly figured out the joints, and he also had a conspiracy theory, "Does Nick Fury think that the Ghost Knight can beat the secret mage?"

"The Director absolutely has no such intention. We have a friendly and cooperative relationship with you."

"Don't worry. I need you to tell Nick Fury that I want to talk to Johnny Blaze. Your director's phone number has been unable to be called these days. This is really annoying. He texts when he wants to send me a text message. I want to call back but can't find him!"

"Director Fury couldn't agree to this, because... because the Ghost Knight disappeared, even Luo Shan couldn't contact him."
