71. The dragon is hungry
"What's wrong with him?" When Sain came back, he looked at the young dragon facing the rock wall, and he didn't look at them at all, and asked strangely.
"Uh..." Alger grabbed his hair, feeling a little guilty.
Sain put the egg down, his handsome face frowned, his narrow eyes narrowed unhappily, and he looked at his subordinates without saying a word.
Arjie was angry when he saw his boss, and he gritted his teeth and told the matter intermittently. In the end, he didn't dare to look at the leader at all. His head was lowered and his legs were habitually stretched straight and closed together to accept the leader's lesson.
"Arger." Sain's tone became cold, and he scolded him word by word: "Tell me, what are the knightly spirits that the Temple of Light has always taught you?"
"Humility, honor, sacrifice, heroism, compassion, honesty, justice, soul." Alger lowered his head and said, his voice trembling slightly.
"Then tell me what did you violate?" Sain pulled out Alger's sword and raised his sword slightly to his subordinate's jaw. Alger felt the cold chill and couldn't help but raise his head and see the stern gaze of the regiment commander.
"Honest, fairness, and soul, honor." Alger clenched his fist and said it.
"Then do you know that you are wrong?" Sain inserted his sword into Alger's scabbard, and his eyes looked cold and prickly at his subordinates.
"I know I'm wrong. After I go back, I will take the initiative to go into the forbidden room to copy the Knight's Laws a hundred times, the leader." Alger's eyes were a little red and his voice was soft.
Sain pursed his lips slightly: "After going back, I will be locked up for another ten days."
"Receive the order!" Alger lowered his head and responded.
Sain turned around and knocked the egg into the homemade bowl, added some clear water from the water bag, surrounded the dry wood branches collected in the corner, and lit it with flint. The warm orange flames clearly extinguished the handsome leader of the Knight's regiment's face, half-disappearing and half-disappearing.
The flames burned in the cave, and the temperature also increased. The wooden branches made a crackling sound, shattering. Long Ming turned his head and looked at the two knights who were in conflict and quietly sat closer to Sain.
It seems that Sain is much more reliable than Alger, and he is worthy of being Seg's respected brother.
"I will rescue everyone, and you will go out too." Sain looked at the burning flames and suddenly said, Long Ming saw the haggard face and thin cheekbones in the fire. He closed his eyes slightly tiredly, but it opened again after a while, and the brown eyes that were the same as Seg exuded a firm light.
Long Ming looked up at Aljie again and found that his hands, which were facing away from them, were white, and seemed to be suppressing something.
The eggs in the small bowl were cooked quickly, and the tender yellow tips appeared, and the fragrance also floated over. Sain took it into his hand with gloves. Long Ming's eyes lit up, and he had a curious design.
The gloves should be made of fine iron, but they are not thick. They are placed in Sain's hand with clear five fingers and organs at the joints, just like machinery. Every time the movement changes, small spikes will appear at the joints of the gloves. The complex lines flow with a faint light, which has a hideous exotic beauty. But at this moment it is holding a small egg custard bowl and a wooden spoon.
"Eat it." Sain crushed the egg custard, blew it gently, and handed it to the young dragon's mouth.
Long Ming sat obediently on the ground and ate it in one bite. It was not fishy, but it was a little sweet, mixed with egg fragrance. The only disadvantage was that it was a little less. After Long Ming finished eating, he shook his tail and looked at the clean small bowl reluctantly.
"Don't worry, I've got a few more eggs, enough for you to eat for two days." Sain washed the bowl and spoon with clean water and put it in the package. Long Ming saw the white eggs inside with sharp eyes. He guessed that there were six more.
However, he was a little unfulfilled, but the situation was bad and Sain did not seem to have any experience in taking care of the cubs. Naturally, he didn't know how much the cubs would eat in a meal. Long Ming could only watch Sain pack the eggs half hungry and half full, and he wanted to save money and long-term success. Long Ming told himself.
Sain looked at the young dragon and asked in a low voice: "Does your head still hurt?"
Long Ming hesitated for a moment, but answered honestly: "I'm a little dizzy."
"Don't worry, it'll be fine in two days." Sain said as he suddenly reached out to destroy the holy light ball in the hole. In an instant, there was darkness in the hole. Long Ming felt that he was being picked up, and then a big hand gently covered his mouth.
"Don't talk." Sain's voice was low and Long Ming suddenly became nervous. After a while, there was another person around him. It must be Alger, who stood with them.
The three of them stared at the entrance of the cave in the darkness.
The wind outside the cave suddenly became shrill and whirred. Long Ming heard the sound of crawling above the cave. The fine stones rolled on the ground, like a signal. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps came from a distance, and then stopped at the entrance of the cave. The smell of gasping was like a wild beast, greedily smelling the smell of the air.
Is it a crypt? Or a dwarf monster. Long Ming felt his heart rising when he remembered what Sain said yesterday.
The sound of scratching stones outside the cave entrance became louder and louder. The residents of this underground world seemed to not like to talk. Long Ming could only hear their breathing getting louder and louder, and it seemed that many people were coming.
Sain quietly bent down and stuffed his clothes into the package to pack it up, then carried the young dragon behind him, covered his cloak, and picked up the sword.
Alger stood at the entrance of the cave skillfully, tied a sword flower, and the snow-colored sword shone with a faint light in the dark.
Long Ming had excellent eyesight and saw Sain standing on the other side of the hole and making a downward gesture.
Alger nodded silently.
The stone at the entrance of the cave was finally pushed, and a pair of green, thin and deformed claws suddenly reached in, and the next moment was extremely chopped off by Algeriso.
The roar of pain rang out in anger, rising and falling from each other, spreading out in the quiet darkness, and the small hole was filled with crypts who wanted to swarm in.
Sain made a quick decision, and the sword in his right hand pushed open the big stone at the entrance of the hole with his left hand, overwhelmed the crypt people outside, and rushed in quickly. Alger followed closely behind. Long Ming looked at the crypt people behind him, and his tail was stiff.
Those crypts probably haven't seen the sun for a long time and are extremely ugly. They look a bit like the forest dwarfs that Long Ming once saw. They are covered in green skin, their eyes are shining, their limbs are slender but they are extremely agile, and their hands and feet are alienated into beast-like shapes, with hooks at the end and canine teeth are protruding. When they see them chasing like prey, they run very fast.
"Don't fight in love, don't use the Holy Light Technique, go west." Sain's calm voice came over. Alger retracted the sword back to the scabbard, held his breath and followed the commander's footsteps. The two of them shuttled through the darkness.
Sain's figure was as fast as a gust of wind. Long Ming saw the crypt behind him thrown a long distance away by them, and quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
This underground world is really dangerous. He lay on Sain's back, looking at the vast darkness ahead, and remembered Oreo. He didn't know if he had avoided it in the end. The tide sea spirit was so treacherous. Long Ming was very worried. There were also Gru, Selia, Dalong and others. Everyone was like an invisible thread that tied his heart. I felt uncomfortable thinking about them.
So when Sain stopped, he saw the young dragon's unenergized appearance and his tail was no longer shook.
"What's wrong?" Sain put Xiaolong on the ground and touched the injured area on his forehead.
Long Ming wrapped his cloak and shook his head: "Nothing."
Alger held his knees and gasped, looking at the moon flowers blooming on the swamp not far away, and looked at Sain: "Captain, is this here?"
"It's the territory of the One-Eyed Demon Lord." Sain sat cross-legged, put the sword on his legs, and adjusted his breathing: "I'll find a safer place later and stay here for two days."
"Although the one-eyed demon king is very violent, he is withdrawn by nature. He likes to live in swamps rich in moon flowers. He has extremely strong mental power. We should reach its edge. As long as we don't provoke it, it should be the best monster in the underground world." Sain closed his eyes: "I'll meditate for a while, Alger, you have taken good care of the young dragon."
"Okay, leader." Alger responded.
Long Ming turned his head and was carried to the stone next to him by Alger.
"Shh, don't talk, the leader is meditating." Alger shrewd.
Long Ming blinked his eyes and nodded.
"Are you hungry?" Alger squatted aside and looked at the young dragon.
"Don't be hungry." Long Ming shook his head. He was now full of vigilance towards the knight.
"Okay." Alger took out the jerky meat from the package and ate it.
Long Ming touched his stomach quietly, but he was actually hungry.
After eating, Alger held a sword and observed the surroundings, protecting the regiment commander.
In the dark underground, Long Ming didn't know how long it had passed. Flowers in the distance were blooming on the silt swamp, bringing them light and vaguely illuminating their ground.
"That's the moon flower." Alger saw the young dragon curiously and said, "A special plant in the underground world."
"After that being said, aren't you really hungry?" Alger leaned closer and looked at Xiaolong, and found that the tip of his tail was straightened, and his big golden eyes were as bright as the sun. Alger couldn't help but be stunned. He hadn't seen the sun for a long time.
"Okay, I was wrong yesterday. How about I apologizing to you?" Alger grabbed his hair, his voice became weaker, and he looked into the distance: "Just think I am a dragon confused."
Long Ming ignored him.
"I don't know what you said yesterday?" Alger took out the water bag and took a sip, and suddenly heard the sound of snoring.
He looked at the young dragon.
Long Ming looked back at him.
"You are hungry and your stomach is screaming." Alger stated the facts.
Long Ming shook his tail and lay on the stone.
Alger took out the eggs in the package in distress. It was impossible to cook eggs in the wilderness, and it would be impossible to attract the enemy.
"Can you eat it raw?" Alger asked the young dragon tentatively, and got a cold tail-shift.
It's really hard to serve. Alger stood up and wanted to see if there was anything to eat in the bushes ahead.
